Title: Content, Social Media & PR Manager
Experience: 5+ years.
Remuneration: R35,000 – R40,000 (depending on experience).
Location: Cape Town. In office with flexibility.
Agreement: Permanent employment with 3-month probation period.
Role Summary:
We’re looking for a creative and culturally connected Content, Social Media & PR Manager to help bring both Tsonga and Omega Originals to life online and in the public eye. You’ll be the voice and content engine behind both brands, driving social storytelling, creating content calendars, briefing designers and creators, writing compelling copy, and identifying earned media opportunities.
This role requires someone who understands the rhythm of digital culture, has strong content instincts, and can build relevance for both brands across different audiences. You should be fluent in Zulu or Xhosa, have a passion for social storytelling, and the ability to execute across platforms with consistency and flair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the content strategy and calendar across Tsonga and Omega Originals.
- Manage all organic social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
- Write captions, social copy, and blog posts in brand tone and voice.
- Brief designers, videographers and content creators on campaign assets.
- Identify and manage PR opportunities to build brand visibility.
- Coordinate social content production and on-the-ground activations when needed.
- Manage community engagement and interactions across platforms.
- Collaborate with brand and digital teams to align content with campaigns.
- Track performance and analytics, and provide recommendations to optimise engagement.
- Stay on top of social trends, platform updates and AI tools for content creation.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in content creation, social media or digital marketing roles.
- Strong copywriting and content planning skills.
- Fluent in Zulu or Xhosa (written and verbal).
- Experience working on retail, lifestyle, fashion, or youth culture brands preferred.
- Proven ability to manage content calendars and creators.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Understanding of Meta platforms, Google tools, and social analytics.
- Familiarity with AI tools and emerging content technologies.
- Organised, proactive, and solution-oriented.
